Playable Species
Stars Reach will offer a selection of playable species at character creation. While no official details have been released yet on racial bonuses or abilities, developers have hinted that the game’s deep environmental simulation could eventually mean each species may adapt differently to various climates. Final specifics are subject to change as the game develops.
Below are the species spotted so far in official trailers, screenshots, and concept art.
Terran

Regular humans, with no special features. Depicted with slightly exaggerated proportions: large hands, wide shoulders on males, and wide hips on females.
Elioni

Cat-like humanoids featuring cat ears, a bushy tail, very large eyes, and a slightly snout-like nose.
Skwatchi

Ape-like humanoids of large build, with bushy hair, an ape-like snout, and large tusks. They also possess long, thick arms.
Gertan

Demon-like humanoids with prominent horns, bright yellow irises, and black sclera. They also sport a hooked, reptilian tail.
Other Species
Playable Worlds staff have confirmed that additional species will be revealed over time. It remains to be seen how each new race may interact with Stars Reach's simulation systems (e.g., climate effects, resource gathering, etc.).
