Question: Is it going to be one character slot per account?
Playable Worlds has revealed that Stars Reach was designed with classless character design in mind. Meaning, players do not choose a class or role prior to entering the world. Instead, all players enter the world equally and the activities players choose to pursue will determine their role within the world.


Answer: Probably not feasible in these days of f2p etc.

Classless Characters

Playable Worlds has revealed that Stars Reach was designed with classless character design in mind. Meaning, players do not choose a class or role prior to entering the world. Instead, all players enter the world equally and the activities players choose to pursue will determine their role within the world.

Raph Koster explained their decision to choose a classless system in a Reddit thread in /r/MMORPG titled, Classless design is overrated".[1] His response is below:

"Class based structures were designed for games that only center on combat. Classless systems were designed to accommodate more ways to play, on even footing with combat."
