Professions
Stars Reach will use a classless character system in which players are not pigeonholed into specific roles or professions from the start. Instead, players will be introduced to the game's professions as they journey throughout the galaxy and be able to choose their own.
In order to prevent players from being good at everything all the time, characters will be allowed a limited loadout of tools where every profession requires a specific tool. Players will only be able to equip up to 5 tools simultaneously. However, returning to town or a camp, loadouts can be changed and updated.[1]

Stars Reach has plans 40+ professions or roles for players to take on.[2] Star Wars: Galaxies was referenced as "a pretty good indicator" for what professions to expect, sans the rigid "onion" trees.[1] Confirmed professions are listed below.
